Library Faculty play a key role in helping you integrate information resources and library services that better prepare and connect your students on their educational and career paths at South Mountain and beyond.
We Provide:
- Library Instruction -- This is usually one-time instruction, requested by instructor. Please click on link to fill out request form.
- Library Tours -- Please click and fill out the request form.
- Research, Course, and Topic Guides. These bring together various information resources that support your specific assignments for your specific courses. Topic Guides are general and support college wide initiatives like Sustainability, 2020 Census, Civic Engagement and Voting, or specific items for campus clubs and organizations.
- Course Reserves: We invite faculty to place extra copies of textbooks, links to Open Education Resources used in courses, and requests for available subscription media to be placed into our Reserve Collection.
- Collection Development: We invite faculty who are interested in adding particular items into the collection to discuss their vision in how it fits into our Library's Mission. Please see our Collection Development policy for more information.
- Programming: The Library works with faculty, staff, and our community to provide unique learning opportunities through hands-on experiences, lecture series and more. Examples of popular programs include:
- Paws 4 a Study Break
- Lessons From Mexico, a Celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month
- Coffee with a Cop: Community Discussions of Neighborhood issues
