The SMCL Professional Development Library is available to all faculty and staff who work at South Mountain Community College. Our collection consists of approximately 300 items ranging from curriculum design and classroom management to personal growth and organizational leadership skills. This collection also includes a repository of faculty sabbatical applications and applications for research across all academic disciplines in MCCCD. Please ask a CTL member for assistance accessing sabbaticals.
Faculty and staff can access the Professional Development Library in CTL Room 207 during the CTL's open hours. Titles can be checked out by a CTL staff member or one of the library staff at the library's 2nd Floor Information Desk. Once an item has been checked out, it can be kept for up to 21 days. As long as a book hasn't been put on hold, borrowers can renew their items up two times during the 21 day checkout period.
The SMCL Professional Development Library is a collaboration between South Mountain Community Library and the South Mountain Community College Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).
